BÍGÍ LINN! – ST. PATRICK’S DAY FACEBOOK LIVE LUNCHTIME CONCERT

The Safe Home Ireland team would like to wish you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day and to invite you to come and join us celebrate through a very special Facebook Live Lunchtime Concert.

The concert will be led by our recently appointed Ambassador, the renowned Irish singer and musician, Seán Keane.

“I was delighted to be asked to be an Ambassador for Safe Home Ireland and very much looking forward to being part of the Safe Home Ireland St. Patrick’s Day concert! The work of Safe Home Ireland highlights a cause that is very dear to my heart, having been an emigrant myself, I got a first-hand insight into the myriad of mixed emotions of the Irish emigrant experience. From the good times of dance halls and friendships, to the loneliness and isolation faced by some who were forced to leave their home and loved ones behind. It is a great pleasure for me to be able to work with Safe Home Ireland in recognising all Irish emigrants who left Ireland in the hope of finding a better life for themselves and their families. Most importantly, I am committed to helping, where I can, those who now wish to return home again”.

Seán Keane

Seán will be joined by a host of internationally acclaimed artists and performers, many performing from iconic locations around Ireland. There will also be performances from Perth and London and we will hear from some people who have benefited from our services, giving hope to others considering returning home in the future.

We know that everyone wants to connect with their Irishness on St. Patrick’s Day and particularly for Irish abroad and those of Irish descent, it is a day to be proud of our culture, heritage, diversity and being part of a global family. At a time when we must stay apart, this event will allow us all to feel connected and enjoy an afternoon of ‘Ceol, Caint agus Craic’, together along the way”.

Karen McHugh – CEO, Safe Home Ireland

The concert takes place from 13.00pm (UTC) and  will be live-streamed from our Facebook page and we are delighted to partner with Mayo.ie who will also live stream the Concert on the day 2021 marks Safe Home Ireland 21st Anniversary and this Concert will launch our Fundraising drive to raise €21,000 in 2021.
